Without a goal of excellence, your organisation will be mediocreWhat is Organisational Excellence?

We use this term to describe the range of courses and activities which help to ensure that your business/organisation runs as smoothly as possible. They are designed to:

  • Help you avoid contentious areas which can lead to disruption
  • Keep you out of tribunals
  • Help prevent legal action against you

Why should you invest in Organisational Excellence?

  • You need excellent staff to make your business excel
  • You want to attract excellent staff by treating them well
  • You want to impress potential clients with your credentials
  • You must conform to the law
  • You may need to protect yourself against staff disputes

In addition to consultancy to review your current practices, policies and procedures we offer an ever-increasing list of stimulating, interactive training programmes, including:

GDPR – Data Protection and Retention

Breaches of the Data Protection Act can lead to maximum fines of €20m.
It is not unusual for staff to have no idea who their data controller is or what the details of their registration allow them to do or not do.
We work with your policies and procedures to ensure that the dry detail of the law becomes a living part of your staff’s day-to-day routines.
Whilst there is no single law governing Data Retention in the same way, a myriad of different regulations make it important for you to identify what you should be doing with data under your control.

Discipline and Grievance

With maximum fines standing at almost £20k and average settlements – given to avoid high tribunal costs – of over £5k you can’t afford to get taken to tribunal by disgruntled staff. Since changes to the law passed in 2013 employers without appropriate policies and procedures will almost be liable by default.
This programme, designed for supervisory, management or union staff as required, makes sure that staff know how to behave according to the law and to your policies and procedures, reducing problems and improving productivity and effectiveness.

Safe and Fast Keyboarding

We may not hear much about RSI these days, but it’s not because it’s gone away: more that it is now  totally accepted as a preventable medical condition. In fact, so much so that around 2,500 claims are made each year, leading to insurance payments of about £3m every year, according to TUC research.
It doesn’t have to be that way. With proper training and practice, staff can learn not only the correct posture to adopt but also safe, accurate and fast keyboard usage. This has twin advantages: greater speed and accuracy of input alongside reduced likelihood of suing the employer.
